Its June so it must be weddings season

Weddings. Its June and the start of Summer and so it's now all about all about the weddings.

Its not the costs that bothers me so much (apparently over $25,000 is a given) its the fact that these bloody things have spawned a new fear.

THE BRIDE AND GROOM FIRST DANCE

Yup the whole of Youtube is currently being clogged up with these hysterical "oh my god we didn't practise - Its like we just synchronised" first dances.

OK - I get this sort of behaviour from a gang of girls and at the hen party - It is after all a kind of a girlie thing to do and it harks back to miming with your mums hairbrush in front of the bedroom mirror (actually I could own up to doing that as well but damn it I went to boarding school!) but men...??

Have you no shame? Do you not realise that dancing like a robot / Michael Jackson is not going to improve your chances with

a) your childrens chances of getting bullied at school and
b) Your second wife when she uncovers this little gem.

Not to mention there goes your shot at a political carreer / school govener / MD / anything over $50,000 a year

I give you 2 examples and rest my case.

The truth about David

OK my friends check this out... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/602087/tattoo_remover/ this is definatly my link for today.

I can't believe we're in 2007 and no one has come up with a tattoo that just fades out after a few years. In the name of sweet jesus what are all the scientists doing these days!!!!! :)

Please send me your links to the best stuff out there on the web, it helps me get over the fact that I'm over worked, under paid and seem to be hungry for most of the time!!!!

Love to hear from anyone. Please feel free to check out our new site www.slingjam.com if you want and help us test it.

Thanks everyone. Chat soon

Nick

PS. For those that were asking, David is taller than me but not nearly as secure a person on the inside!!!! ;)

Weirdest link of the day

People are funny arn't they?

If someone told me 2 years ago that , in 2007, I was going to be writing the equivilant of an online diary (30 years after my last one got left on the number 52 in Purley) I think I would have quietly backed away from them and run for my life.

Never say never...

How the times have changed - everyone is blogging these days and apparently if your not doing it your either dead or incredibly square. Since I am neither i shall continue. Bare with me...

We've just launched a new site. What started up as a gem of an idea on the train back from London one day has turned into a labour of love and a site which I feel as nervous as a new child at school about, as passionate as your first real kiss and as frustrated about as ...well I'm not sure what but pretty bloody frustrated!

The site is called Slingjam (hence the name of the blog - clever eh?!) Its basically for people to post and comment on anything cool and interesting they find on the internet. Don't panic - I won't ramble on about it on here - This is for me! What I do want to do though is link to my favourite post of the day. My kids would never forgive me if I didn't link to this from the site...

Wittily entitled "Up Butt Coconut" it details the complexities of pushing something up your anus all in a cheery singalong childrens video.

Niiice!!!

Thats it from me for today - I shall endeavor to master this and post again tomorrow.
